What is this stuff called energy? When you’re tired
you say your energy is low and when you feel lively
you feel energetic. But what does that mean? Is it
purely scientific? Perhaps when you are energetic,
more of the food you ate is turned into ATP, the high
energy molecule and energy currency of the body?
But how do you end up drained? Especially when it is
someone else who is draining you?
Do you have different energy states? What is
different in you when you feel upbeat compared to
when you feel down in the dumps? Have you ever
had a conversation that left you energized? How
about one that left you exhausted. Where did that
energy come from or go when you did not eat
anything or do anything physical to burn it?
Think about the different ways you notice energy in
your body. Perhaps one of the most obvious is
through temperature. When you physically burn
energy, you get hot. Energy moving does produce
heat. Think of electricity moving through a wire. It
can get very hot. Whenever you notice a change in
temperature in your body, you are noticing a shift in
energy. Ask yourself what this shift is in response to.
More subtle energies may feel like a buzz or
vibration. Have you ever been around someone
frenetic and got a sense of them buzzing? How
about in yourself when you have too many things to
do and feel like your head is spinning? What about
when a part of your body feels like it is tingling?
What made it tingle and what is going on?
If you want to feel some energy, try this. Rub your
palms together for 30 seconds. Separate them
slowly and feel the charge between them. Do you
feel the buzz or tingle? What does it feel like to
move them further apart? Closer together? Can you
form the energy into a ball? Place your hands on
your body. What does it feel like under your hands?
You know when you “let the bass kick” or someone
has the car stereo cranked up so loud that you get
this “doof doof” feeling penetrating your body? You
are experiencing sound waves moving through your
body. Energy travels in waves. When else have you
felt waves moving through your body?
With Network Spinal Analysis, people learn to
experience the more subtle energies in their bodies.
The practitioner directs your attention to energy
shifts and waves that are happening or want to
occur in your body. You start to detect rhythms in
your body that you never noticed. You begin to
direct the movement and flow of your own energy.
You start to observe what happens to your energy in
response to your environment.
How valuable would it be for you to be able to notice
the instant your energy was being depleted and stop
the leak? How about being able to create an
energetic state in your body on command? What if
you could direct your energy to a part of your body
that needed to heal? What if you could do all these
things and did them sometimes but were not aware
of it?
This energy thing may seem weird and wacky but it’s
the way our bodies work. Why not experience it,
have fun with it and use it to your benefit?
