About Yuri Podtchainov, R.H.N.

Yuri was born and raised in Moldova and moved to Canada in 1992.  Yuri, who was trained in Moldova as a Teacher for Arts and Drafting decided, after moving to
Ottawa, that he wanted to pursue a career in holistic medicine.  In 2001, he
moved to Toronto to attend the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.  While
attending the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Yuri also complete a course at the International Rwo-Shr Health Institute in Reflexology.  In 2006, learned Dr. Wu's head and face massage techniques at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Dr. Wu's Head Massage involves massaging accupoints on the scalp and face which, in turn, treat the entire body.

Today, Yuri uniquely combines reflexology, natural nutritional counseling and Dr. Wu's Head Massage to move people towards a higher state of wellness.  There are many curative and preventative aspects within these modalities that Yuri uses to help people achieve and maintain optimal health while preserving the energy within the body.

Hot Stone Reflexology

Hot stone reflexology combines a reflexology treatment with warmed basalt stones.  Basalt stones
are dark coloured stones made of volcanic rock that hold heat very well.  The heat from the stones
penetrates the muscles and opens up energy pathways while providing warmth to the body.  It is
estimated that one stroke with a stone is worth five strokes with a hand leaving your body feeling restored and revitalized.  Hot stone reflexology can be done on the feet, hands and head.
