My friend Claire sometimes sends me quotes that she
finds interesting. We usually end up discussing their
meaning at some point. I have also used other
topics we have discussed as material for my articles.
She has asked for a kick-back for providing me with
ideas but she will have to settle for
acknowledgement here. The quote above is from
Claire.
Hardship is certainly something that everyone
experiences in some form on a regular basis
throughout life. Some experience it financially, some
in their relationships, others in their career while still
others may feel it in their sense of purpose and
fulfillment. Regardless of who you are, if you
examine your life, you will find that you are
experiencing or have recently overcome some form of
hardship.
What is hardship? Hardship occurs in a situation or
circumstance that asks you to adapt, change or
grow. Hardship is the state of uncertainty,
discomfort, stretching, learning and reorganizing that
occurs as you grow into a more evolved person.
Some lessons are harder to learn. Some take longer
to learn. Some people are slow learners and have to
keep repeating the course material.
When life starts to get too easy we get bored.
Variety is a human need so we usually decide to
shake things up a little. Make things a little more
interesting. Unfortunately consistency is also a
human
need and when things become different we get
uncomfortable. Barring certain unpredictable and
unfortunate events, a lot of the hardship we
experience is self created.
Nobody likes to feel pain or discomfort, so when we
experience it we usually want to get rid of it quickly.
We have two options. Go back to the way things
were or organize to a new level of complexity (ie.
grow).
When you find yourself experiencing hardship, remind
yourself that you are stepping up to the next level.
Your life up to this point was training and practice for
this challenge. You are in the process of growth
that, when done consciously, results in the
transformation of your life.
Becoming more aware of yourself on all levels makes
the process of life transformation more simple (not
easy) and more enjoyable. Network Spinal Analysis
(NSA) provides an excellent tool for self awareness
by helping you develop a strong connection to your
body. Network entrainments help you to be
conscious of how your breath, posture and tension
changes in response to the level of challenge in your
life. Regular entrainments make you very aware of
how your body uses pain and tension to show you
where you need to change your life and motivate you
to action.
People under regular Network care report taking more
challenges head on and experience great
improvements in their quality of life. Want to learn
more? Check out the "Healing Process Workshop"
to
learn about the kinds of awareness that NSA guides
you to develop. We also have a special workshop
called "Network Demystified" which will go into
more
detail on the entrainment, the meaning of the tension
patterns in your body and the relationship of the
tone of your body to that of your life.
Embrace the moments of hardship in your life. Look
backwards through your life and you will see that
every moment of hardship preceded a significant life
change. You will always face hardship in your life
and the way you handle it is your choice. The next
time you find yourself thinking, "Oh great. Could
things be any worse?" Just say to yourself, "It's
just
hardship. Here we grow again!"
