A friend of mine forwarded me this quote. She
thought it was good and so do I.
A friend is one who sees through you and still enjoys
the view. -- Wilma Askinas (1926- ) American
Author
One way of interpreting this is that after you learn
who your friend is, with all his or her good and bad
points,
you still like him or her. But the interpretation I
prefer is
that everyone has a particular perspective on the
world. When you look through a person, you get to
see what he or she sees. It is like looking through a
lens. Your friends can give you all kinds of views. It
all depends on what you like to see.
When a person shares his or her perspective with
you, you get a chance to see what he or she see
and
learn the meaning that it holds for him or her. This
actually brings your awareness to how you see the
world and what you interpret this to mean about
yourself. Your Friends teach you about yourself and
help you expand your perspective.
In Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), we work with
spinal gateways which are energetic points on your
spine. A spinal gateway is the interface between
how you see the world and how you see yourself. By
expanding your awareness through your gateways,
you learn more about yourself, your world and the
meaning it all holds for you. NSA opens new spinal
gateways and enhances their sensitivity, giving you
greater access to the depth and richness of life.
Your friends are like gateways. They can teach you
as much or as little as you want to learn. You can
enrich your experience by making new ones or by
adding depth to the ones you already have. Because
the objective in NSA is to create and expand
gateways, people under NSA care experience deeper,
more fulfilling relationships.
Ask yourself, "What kid of gateway am I to my
friends?" Your answer will tell you who you are.
