This Mother’s Day, instead of just buying Mom
flowers or a gift, try something a little different.
Take a little time to reflect on who you are and all
the things that make you the person people see
today. Think about all the things you have
accomplished and all the things you like about
yourself.
As you introspect about who you are and what it
means to be you, think about where you came from.
Regardless of the relationship you have, had or did
not have with your mother, the mother/child
connection is one that you cannot escape. It is a
connection that has had a tremendous impact on
your growth and development into the person you
are.
Taking a simple inventory of your life today is a good
place to start in expressing your gratitude to her.
Write her a little note to let her know that you have
become the person you are today because she
brought you into the world and nurtured you. She
showed you what the world meant to her and that in
turn allowed you to develop your own perspective.
From there, think of all the caring and nurturing she
provided. She did her best for you and now it’s time
for you to say “Thanks Mom!”
